The menu focuses on locally sourced and seasonal produce offering a range of contemporary Australian dishes, with fresh, high-quality ingredients. Sequoia Lounge also features an extensive curated wine list, showcasing the best of South Australia’s renown wine regions.

All day dining • Breakfast 7:00-10:30 AM • Lunch 12:00-5:00 PM • Dinner 6:00 until 8:30 PM

Breakfast is served daily in the lodge lounge or in your suite.

All meals can be delivered to your suite or enjoyed in the Sequoia lounge.

Heading out, then you may like to enjoy a delicious Sequoia Picnic Hamper, in the estate grounds, surrounding Botanic Gardens or taken on a tour through the Hills.

Sequoia dining is exclusive to lodge guests. Reservations preferred.

Sequoia Lodge Head Chef

Chef Nicolas Reverte

Chef Nicolas Reverte, a French-born and trained chef, had been working in Melbourne before quickly relocating to Queensland to become the head chef at The Reef House Hotel in Palm Cove, a sister property of Sequoia and MLH. After three years in tropical Queensland, he was moved to Sequoia Lodge as head chef to create a new culinary vision.

Nicolas has since assumed the role of head chef, drawing on his French training and his experience working in Spain for Martin Berasategui—who holds two Michelin stars—to add European flair to modern Australian cuisine. For Chef Nicolas, discovering South Australia presents a new challenge in a region renowned for its exceptional produce. It is an exciting opportunity for him to apply his French culinary skills by designing a new menu that features seasonal products for guests to enjoy at Sequoia.

As the Head Chef of Sequoia Lodge in the picturesque Adelaide Hills, my culinary journey has been shaped by a deep passion for authenticity, sustainability, and innovation. I believe that a truly remarkable dining experience is built upon high-quality, locally sourced ingredients, and I am committed to showcasing the very best this region has to offer.

At Sequoia Lodge, we take a hands-on approach to our menu by preparing everything from scratch—including our bread, brioche buns, English muffins, and lavash. This dedication to artisanal craftsmanship not only enhances the flavors and textures of our dishes but also fosters a closer connection between our guests and the food they enjoy.

Beyond the ingredients, my approach to cooking is rooted in storytelling. Every dish we create reflects the landscape, the seasons, and the passionate producers who make the Adelaide Hills such a rich culinary destination. Through thoughtful presentation and meticulous attention to detail, we aim to provide an experience that is both indulgent and deeply meaningful.

Ultimately, my goal is to redefine fine dining by embracing sustainability, celebrating local flavors, and offering a dining experience that resonates with guests long after they leave our table.

Winter in the Adelaide Hills is a magical time, especially for food and wine lovers. Known as the “Truffle and Red Wine” season, it is the perfect time to indulge in the finer things in life. The Adelaide Hills boast some of the finest truffle farms in the world.
