LUXURY WINTER ESCAPE PACKAGES AT SEQUOIA

24 June 2022:  Australasia’s leading hotel, Mount Lofty House, has launched its Sequoia Winter Escape packages, enticing visitors to indulge in its luxury experiences and discover the magic of winter in the Adelaide Hills.

The Sequoia Winter Escape package has been designed to lure visitors to the majestic Adelaide Hills where they can indulge in a luxurious wellness escape with breath-taking natural surrounds, sophisticated culinary adventures, sensory spa treatments and carefully crafted gastronomical and recreational experiences.

Estate General Manager Jacqueline Kennedy said a short stay at Sequoia during winter is one of the most holistic environments guests can immerse themselves in.

“Winter escapes at Sequoia are one of Australasia’s most wonderful travel and wellness experiences,” said Jacqueline.

“Our beautifully appointed spacious Sequoia suites are perfectly set on a privately owned parcel of the Mount Lofty peak, offering uninterrupted views over the stunning Piccadilly Valley. Guests can wake up to misty mornings and sounds of nature and local fauna, and finish their day pondering the starry skies, all from the comfort of their luxury floor to ceiling glass fronted suite.

“Our guests arrive to a quiet botanic landscape, meandering wallabies and sleepy koalas, crackling fires and steam rising from the artesian stone hot pools fed by the mountain’s natural springs. Its all about nature inspired experiences.

“Our guests spend their days in warm sunken lounges, reading books from the Estate library, indulging in revitalising spa treatments or soaking in hot spring pools, enjoying local produce and degustation adventures, strolling among nature or participating in artisan produce masterclasses.

“And our indulgent food and wine program is curated with the best produce of the Adelaide Hills and local surrounds and guests can choose to dine in the comfort of their suite, the ambient Sequoia Lounge, or enjoy the four or seven-course culinary journey at the three hatted Hardy’s Verandah Restaurant.

“With the breadth of experiences to enjoy, the 30-acre Mount Lofty Estate has become a destination in its own right. Sequoia’s range of bespoke tours include helicopter transfers to meet winemakers, private 4WD tours to visit pristine coastline and some of the finest small winemakers in the country, and a behind the scenes tour of the iconic R.M.Williams workshop. Guests can also enjoy many wonderful local attractions including the Botanic Gardens, Cleland Wildlife Park where visitors can hug a koala, and the Adelaide Hills wine region should they wish to venture out the gates of the Estate.”

Guests can book direct or with their preferred travel partner.

ABOUT MOUNT LOFTY HILLS ESTATE

Mount Lofty House was built in 1852 by prominent statesman Arthur Hardy as his summer house. Arthur Hardy is reminiscent of a South Australian Jay Gatsby; indeed his daughter Mabel described their lifestyle as ‘a kind of feudal splendour’. Their beautiful manor soon became the state’s premier address for lavish and infamous parties for Adelaide’s elite of the day.

Today, this treasured state icon stands as a boutique hotel offering luxury escapes, a three hatted fine dining restaurant, indulgent day spa, conference retreats and breathtakingly beautiful weddings.

Sequoia Lodge is the most recent addition to the Estate, celebrating its first birthday in September 2022. A massive 70-year-old Sequoia tree is the centrepiece of Sequoia Lodge, planted by Arthur Hardy. The luxurious lodge is the story of the Mount Lofty region, its nature, and produce.  Every suite brings the outside in with local materials in earthy tones and uninterrupted views over the valley.

Mt Lofty Estate is proudly SA owned and operated. Mount Lofty House Estate was Voted #1 Hotel in Australia and the South Pacific in 2022 by Trip Advisor, based on the feedback from the guests who stayed there.
